Following her creative curiosity around the world, Julia, has deepened her passion for fashion design with each of her lived experiences. Inspired by breathtaking landscapes and local talent across continents, her creativity blossomed: Julia found her way as a fashion designer.
Even as a young girl growing up in Slovakia, Julia delighted in dressing to the beat of her own drum, pairing colors and accessories in ways that were her own. As she grew up, she never lost that creative inclination or that independent spirit. These qualities only deepened as she explored the world around her through work and travel.

Currently based in Dubai, Julia found her way to fashion design through a role as wardrobe designer for Blue Marlin Dubai, a famous beach club drawing international DJs and dancers, as well as The Act Dubai, a famous restaurant-theater club with breathtaking live performances by talented artists from around the world. In these roles, she experienced how fabric and movement come together, how the construction of garments is articulated, and how a look can transform or even incarnate a feeling.
Everything came together in 2014, when Julia launched her very first collection – an alluring range of free-spirited designs – to rave reviews in Dubai and beyond. Since then, she has created many collections and unique pieces that she has shown in fashion events around the world, notably at Bali Fashion Week.
Julia continues to create magic and desire through her limited-run collections, celebrating power and sparkling uniqueness in each and every one of us.

Each Julia Milan piece, whether part of a collection or a custom order, is designed by Julia herself and then fabricated in ateliers in Dubai. Through a journey of intimate collaboration and attention to every detail, it takes several weeks for a garment to be completed.
